Grief and Bereavement​

Grief is a normal response to any form of loss while bereavement is grief experienced involving the death of a loved one. Grief encompasses a range of feelings and emotions from sadness to anger, guilt, regret and yearning. Grieving behaviors also ranges dramatically where some find comfort in sharing their feelings while others prefer to be alone with their feelings. Strong feelings of grief could result in depression or feelings of helplessness and loss.
