Anxiety is a normal reaction to danger and in fact, it may even help you to stay alert and focused. However, if anxiety is constant or causing significant distress, or when worries and fears interfere with your relationships, it is recommended that you speak with a mental health professional.  

Some sign of symptoms that indicate that you are experiencing high levels of anxiety:

  • Feeling constantly tense, worried or on edge
  • Anticipating the worse
  • Irritability
  • Feelings of apprehension or dread

Some physical symptoms of having high levels of anxiety include:

  • Insomnia
  • Dizziness
  • Headaches
  • Sweating
  • Pounding heart
  • Muscle tension 
  • Panic attacks
