Ng Kah Wei, Alicia
(M. Clin Psych)
Director

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas, United States, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from HELP University, Malaysia. Following my postgraduate training, I spent three years working at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore before returning to Malaysia. I am currently in my 15th year of clinical practice, working with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of emotional and psychological concerns.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in humanistic and systems perspectives. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional distress, trauma, identity and existential concerns, life transitions, and relational challenges. I believe that many of these difficulties reflect deeper emotional or relational experiences, and I support clients in exploring these underlying patterns with curiosity and care.
In my work with children and adolescents, I provide both therapeutic support and comprehensive psychological assessments. My approach to assessment is thoughtful and collaborative, integrating information from multiple sources—including parents, teachers, and the child’s own experience—to develop a holistic understanding of their emotional, behavioural, social, and learning needs. I aim to identify not only areas of difficulty, but also each child’s strengths, so that recommendations are practical, meaningful, and tailored to support their development across home and school environments. In therapy, I incorporate developmentally appropriate and creative modalities such as expressive arts, LEGO, and Sandplay to support emotional expression, communication, and engagement.
At the heart of my work is the belief that cultivating authentic relationships—with ourselves and with others—is essential to living a meaningful and fulfilling life. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and reflective space where clients feel supported to reconnect with themselves, deepen self-understanding, and move toward more genuine and aligned ways of being. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, and I aim to walk alongside my clients with openness, empathy, and respect as they navigate growth, healing, and self-discovery.
